Frequently Asked Questions
-
Marcie is the bridge between need and access, consolidating hundreds of services from organizations across Franklin County into one place for residents and caseworkers. It makes getting and giving support simpler, faster, and more dignified.
Planning for Franklin County’s Community Information Exchange began in 2022, followed by several years of design, development, and co-creation with partners across the community. It is funded by Franklin County and the City of Columbus.
Marcie will have its foundational release in July 2026, delivering a Trusted Directory that consolidates accurate, up-to-date information for hundreds of services across Franklin County. LSS 211 will also transition their current technology system to Marcie.
Future releases through 2027 will expand functionality and introduce additional workflows to support coordinated care across sectors.

For decades, community organizations have worked tirelessly to help residents navigate complex service systems. But too often those systems operate in silos, requiring individuals to tell their story repeatedly while caseworkers search across disconnected resource directories.
Marcie aims to change that by enabling organizations to coordinate across agency boundaries, helping residents receive the right services faster and with greater dignity.
The approach reflects a broader regional shift: no single organization can solve complex challenges alone, but coordinated systems can deliver lasting impact.
-
Co-designed by Central Ohio residents and the community-based organizations (CBOs) supporting them, Marcie is guided by an intentional focus on equity to ensure that solutions serve the entire community. This work is housed at Smart Columbus Innovation Lab at the Columbus Partnership in collaboration with the RISE Together Innovation Institute and is governed by the Marcie Executive Council. It is co-designed with the Marcie Care Coordination Council, and the Experience Council (residents and caseworkers with lived experience navigating community programs and services).
